Henry Layman Damron, 75, of Glasgow, KY, the son of the late Millard Curtis and Ruth Catherine (Brown) Damron, was born July 7, 1946 in Wayne County, West Virginia and departed this life on Saturday, May 28, 2022 at his home.
He was a surface miner, where he was the lead blaster, a former truck driver and a auto mechanic for Charles Nolley and was of the Baptist Faith. Henry was a Veteran of Vietnam, having served in the United States Marine Corp and received a Purple Heart. He founded the Giles County (TN) Veterans Honor Guard and was a past post commander of the American Legion #60 in Tennessee. Henry enjoyed motorcycles and loved music, having played keyboards for Tru Dynasty and was a former stock car driver at Taylor County Speedway.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by 3 brothers: Donald, Curtis and Charles Damron.

Funeral Service: Thursday, June 2, 2022 at 11:00amET (10:00amCT) at L.R. Petty Funeral Home with Rev. Jay Damron officiating. Cremation will follow the service.
Visitation: Wednesday, June 1, 2022 from 5:00pm-8:00pmET (4-7pmCT) at the funeral home.
