Frankie Carlton Young, 84, of Green County, KY, son of the late Armour Lee Young and Elizabeth Magaline Wilcoxson Young, was born on April 10, 1941 in Green County and departed this life on Friday, January 30, 2026 at Jane Todd Crawford Hospital. 

 

He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of Little Barren Separate Baptist Church. He retired from Clark Casual as a builder after 40 years and later worked part time as an attendant for Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home where he quickly became family.

His wife of 65 years: Barbara Ervin Young of Green County

Rebecca “Pat” Jones, 76, of Campbellsville, KY, a daughter of the late George Deboe Granger and Helen Louise Pigott Granger, was born August 26, 1949 in Columbus, Ohio. She died at 6:07 A.M., Tuesday, January 27, 2026 in Campbellsville. 

 

She professed faith in Christ and was of the Baptist faith. Pat was a former employee of Walmart for more than 14 years. 

Pat was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was also a loving second mother to many.

Nicholas Bennett, 33, of Greensburg, KY was born July 23, 1992 in Elizabethtown, KY to the late Timothy Bennett, who preceded him in death January 1, 2025 and Alisa Sykes Bennett. He departed this life on Thursday, January 8, 2026 at the Jane Todd Crawford Hospital.

 

He loved music and played the guitar and drums. Nicholas loved his family and adored his children. He was a jokester.

 

Besides his father, his was preceded in death by two nephews: Andre Jayden Parrish and Richard Lee Parrish.

Leonard "Starchy" Ford, 89, Campbellsville, KY


Leonard “Starchy” Ford, 89, of Campbellsville, KY, a son of the late Leonard Coakley Ford and Flora Alice Lewis Ford, was born May 16, 1936 in Taylor County, KY. He died at 8:00 A.M., Saturday, January 24, 2026 in Campbellsville. 

 

He had made a profession of faith in Christ and attended The Rock Church.

 

Leonard was better known by his nick-name “Starchy” given to him by friends at an early age. The name carried with him with his work. Starchy began working in the petroleum business for many years for Ashland Oil. He was offered a position as plant manager for Ashland’s propane division. The company changed names 0ver many years from Doxol Gas, to Williams Energy Company, to Buckeye Gas, then Ferrelgas. He was District Manager over several counties when he retired after thirty five plus years.

 

Starchy loved spending time with his family and spent a lot of his time on the farm and the lake. He had a heart for helping others and loved it when the grandchildren would stop by with a vehicle problem needing his help. He could fix anything and was the grandkids go to person for learning how to drive. He also loved to ski, raise several gardens, piddle in his shop and just enjoy life.

 

He united in marriage to Annette Newcomb Ford in 1954 and were married for fifty four years before she preceded him in death December 1, 2008. He later united in marriage to Sue Gray in 2011, who survives

 

Besides his wife, Sue Gray Ford of Campbellsville, he is survived by his children: Greg Ford and wife, Ginger, Cathy Newton and husband, Jeff; his daughter-in-law, Judy Ford; bonus children: Robbie Gray and wife, Karen, Susan Bryant and husband, Kevin, and Deborah Gray; twelve grandchildren: Leigh Hays and husband, Phil, Brooke Parker and husband, Keith, Logan Ford and wife, Rebecca, Jenny Newton and husband, Eric, Ben Newton and wife, Sheere, Drew Newton and wife, Megan, Chad Ford, Joshua Gray, Jacob Gray, Blake Sprowles and wife, Ashley, Lexie Turpin and husband, Brady, and Chasity Berger and husband, Justin; twenty four great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren; one brother, Donnie Ford, one sister, Marjorie Deanie Price; several other nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.

 

Leonard was also preceded in death by one son, Randy Ford; one granddaughter, Stacy Witham, one brother, Raymond Ford, and two sisters: Mardell Benningfield, and Rosemary Mardis.

She was a former employee of Fruit of the Loom and a member of the Bradfordsville Baptist Church. Diann enjoyed shopping and spending time with her grandchildren.

Charles Edwin Crawley, 78, of Campbellsville, KY, a son of the late Herman and Alta Crawley, was born on September 16, 1947 in Cumberland County, KY.  He died at 4:15 A.M. on Saturday, January 24, 2026 in Louisville. 
 

Charles was a lifelong farmer and educator, graduating from Campbellsville College. He taught math in the Marion County School System and served as Marion County High School principal for several years.
 

Charles was united in marriage to Laura Buckles and later Carol Donan Bass, who both predeceased him.

James A. Farmer, 64, Louisville, KY


James A. Farmer, 64, of Louisville, KY passed away on Tuesday, January 20, 2026 at 11:26 p.m. in Jefferson County. He was born on February 8, 1961 in Louisville, KY to the late Ancil Lee Farmer, Sr. and Bernice Edelen Farmer Osborne.
 

Throughout his life, James endured many health challenges, yet he remained a kind, gentle, and loving soul. He was a devoted brother who was dearly loved and often spoiled by his sisters, and he will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

 

James found joy in the simple things in life. He was a fan of University of Louisville sports, loved rock music, and especially enjoyed Halloween, one of his favorite holidays. In his younger years, he liked lifting weights, riding motorcycles, and joking around with family and friends. He enjoyed cookouts and spending time with loved ones, always appreciating what he had and never asking for much.

 

James was more of a cat person than a dog person and had a special bond with his beloved cat, Littlebit, who brought him great comfort and companionship.

Trudy Tucker, 86, of Campbellsville, KY, daughter of the late Glenn Edward Allen and Rose Pawley Allen, was born February 12, 1939 in Rockford, Illinois. She died at 2:05 P.M., Tuesday, January 20, 2026 in Campbellsville. 

 

She professed faith in Christ and was a member of Lowell Avenue Baptist Church.

 

Trudy was a retired food service employee with Campbellsville Independent School System, and most recently as an instructional assistant. She had also worked in retail early in her life.

 

She united in marriage to Benjamin Franklin Tucker November 16, 1962 and he preceded her in death on April 7, 2005.

 

Trudy was a loving mother and grandmother and will forever be in her families’ hearts. She also loved plants, especially violets.

She was a former graphic designer for CKNJ and a member of Robinson Creek Baptist Church. Wilma enjoyed sewing, doing artwork, and loved all her family and grandkids, and her church family.

She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was of the Baptist faith. She was also a retired machine operator for Fruit of the Loom, Inc. after 30 plus years of service and she also enjoyed quilting.

 

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, Houston Willis “Hoot” Simpson on August 12, 2019, having united in marriage on November 4, 1949.

He made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Campbellsville. Mr. Walsh was a member of the SAC Elite Guard Association and enjoyed farming, hiking, hunting and traveling. He was a United States Air Force veteran, having served from 1964 through 1967. He had a Master’s Degree and was a retired Lexington Police Chief.

William “Squirrel” Thompson Earle, 71, of Jennings, Louisiana was born on September 17, 1954 to Beverly and John Edward Earle. He departed this life on Saturday, January 10, 2026.

 

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a brother, John Earle.

 

William made a profession of faith in Jesus Christ and was a devoted Pentecostal Christian. Above all, William loved his family. He loved big, laughed often, and lived proudly as a father and Paw Paw. He was deeply proud of Jacob, Jessica, and his grandchildren, and he never missed an opportunity to brag about them or speak of them with joy.

 

William was a carpenter by trade and proudly built many projects throughout southeast Louisiana. He was an adventurous outdoorsman who deeply loved nature and carried a true Cajun spirit. He was an excellent cook, especially known for his Cajun dishes.

 

William “Squirrel” Earle will be remembered for his strong faith, hardworking hands, generous heart, and unwavering love for his family. His legacy lives on through those he loved and those who loved him.

James “Mann” Thornton, 91, the son of the late Horace Buck and Icy Pearl Richardson Thornton, was born in Green County on June 4, 1934 and departed this life on Sunday, January 11, 2026 at Green River Trails Nursing Facility.

 

He accepted the Lord at an early age and was a member of Jacob Grove Baptist Church where he loved to sing and He served as deacon and building fund treasurer until his illness. For many years, he was a truck driver and later started work with Tennessee Gas where he retired. He was a member of the Greensburg, Green County League of Citizens, where he served as Sergeant at Arms and received the Good Neighbor Award. He also served as Green County Constable. In his spare time, he loved hunting and fishing.

 

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson and granddaughter: Gavin Keith Thornton and Chanda Elyse Calhoun; and by two brothers and three sisters: Hobert Thornton, Aurthur Thornton, Margie Mitchell, Dorothy Thornton and Mary Lou Miller.

She had made a profession of faith in Christ, and was a retired office manager for Kentuckiana Window Cleaning.

 

Besides her parents, she was also preceded in death by her first husband, Wendall Charles Decker; she later united into marriage to Paul Edward McDaniel who passed away on February 12, 2003.

John Wesley Ingram, 95, of Louisville, KY (a native of Greensburg, KY) passed away on Sunday, December 28, 2026. He was born on December 6, 1930 to the late John McCoy and Alyce Frances Phillips Ingram in Greensburg, Kentucky.

 

He was a 1949 graduate of Green County High School and attended the University of Louisville. He proudly served our country in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. He was retired from the Ford Motor Company having worked there from 1956 to 1988. John was a member of the Jeffersontown United Methodist Church and loved his family greatly.

 

In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by his loving wife, Ree Durham Ingram who passed away September 12, 2025; his brothers, Morris W. Ingram, Harold Wayne Ingram, Terrel Dennis Ingram and Coy Lavon Ingram.

Rev. Leonard Lee Nuckols, 88, of Campbellsville, KY passed away peacefully on Friday, December 26, 2025 at T.J. Samson Hospital in Glasgow, KY. He was a son of the late Geogre Nuckols and Mollie Gatewood Nuckols.

 

Rev. Nuckols was a faithful church attendee who valued worship, fellowship, and his walk with the Lord. He faithfully served as a minister for 67 years, dedicating his life to spreading the Gospel and serving God’s people until his health declined. His ministry touched countless lives across generations, and his commitment to faith never wavered. Leonard Lee Nuckols was a United States Army veteran, where he faithfully served as a transporter. In addition to his pastoral calling, Rev. Nuckols was deeply committed to service within his community. He volunteered for many years as a greeter at Taylor Regional Hospital, where his warm smile, gentle spirit, and kind words brought comfort to patients, families, and staff alike. Rev. Leonard Lee Nuckols was a man of faith, humility, and service, and he will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

 

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by four sisters: Lelia Nuckols Alexander, Mamie Nuckols, Dorothy Nuckols Wilson, and Cherry Thomas Nuckols Gore and his beloved granddaughter, Anna, daughter of Beverly C. Nuckols McDaniel.

Jewell G. Watson, 93, of Campbellsville, KY, daughter of the late Willie Virgil Gabbert and Bessie Pearline Thomas Gabbert, was born October 2, 1932 in Pellyton, KY. She died at 1:36 P.M., Thursday, January 1, 2026 in Louisville.  

 

She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of Campbellsville Baptist Church. She was a retired insurance agent with Jessie Insurance Agency and Reed Brothers Insurance and enjoyed her office jobs. Jewell was a loving mother and grandma.

 

She united in marriage to Howard “Jockey” Thomas Watson and he preceded her in death on April 22, 1987.

Debbie Kay Bloyd Lane, 70, of Greensburg, KY, a daughter of Margie Parson Bloyd and the late Silas Bloyd, was born on August 5, 1955 in Campbellsville, KY. She departed this life on Monday, December 29, 2025 at her home.

 

Debbie retired from Taylor Regional Hospital, where she dedicated many years of service. She enjoyed gardening and planting flowers and took great pride in caring for her home and yard. Debbie dearly loved her dog, Ettie.

 

She was a faithful member of South Summersville Baptist Church, where she served as the church pianist and shared her love of music with the congregation.

Rita Ann Braun Corbin, 77, of Greensburg, KY, a daughter of the late Bernard Joseph Braun and Mary Lee Witkam Braun, was born on September 20, 1948 in Jeffersonville, Indiana and departed this life on Thursday, January 1, 2026 at her home. 

 

She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of Green Hill Baptist Church. She worked as a dental assistant for the University of Kentucky Pediatrics Dentistry.

Pamela Price Richardson, 76, of Campbellsville, KY passed away peacefully on Monday, December 29, 2025 at the University of Louisville Hospital. She was born on December 6, 1949 in Louisville, Kentucky to the late Virgil and Frances Price,

 

Pam grew up in Greensburg, Kentucky, where she graduated from Green County High School. She went on to attend the University of Kentucky, earning a degree in speech pathology. She had made a profession of faith in Christ, was a member of Campbellsville Christian Church and recently attending 3 Trees. Pam was also a successful business owner, operating Merle Norman in Campbellsville for nearly 50 years. She built a thriving business where she genuinely loved serving her customers and the community.

 

After dating for four years, Pam united in marriage to Les Richardson July 10, 1971.

Patricia Lynn “Pat” Reynolds, 64, daughter of the late Ray Mays and Theresa Bernice McNear Mays, was born December 12, 1961 in Campbellsville. She passed away at 7:25 P.M., Wednesday, December 31, 2025 in Campbellsville. 

 

She professed faith in Christ and was of the Baptist faith. Pat was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She enjoyed supporting her daughters throughout their life and watching her grandkids grow up and spending time with them and her family as much as she could.
