Raymond Everett Wilder, 88, of Jamestown, KY died Monday, April 20, 2026 at his residence. He was born on August 17, 1937, a son of the late Raymond E. Wilder Sr. and Nellie Pearl Reed Wilder.

Mr. Wilder was a veteran of the United States Army and retired from the University of California.

Joyce lived a life marked by dedication, warmth, and a deep love for those around her. She spent a significant part of her career as a machine operator at OshKosh. Beyond her work, Joyce found joy in gardening, listening to music, and cherishing moments spent with her family and friends. She attended 3trees Church. Her faith was an integral part of her life, providing her with strength and comfort throughout her years.

Diane lived a life devoted to education and family, leaving behind a remarkable legacy through her work and the relationships she cherished. A dedicated schoolteacher in the Adair County School System for 33 years, Diane was committed to shaping the minds and hearts of countless children throughout her career. Her passion for educating young learners was evident in the lasting impact she made on her students, who benefited from her patience, knowledge, and kindness. Beyond her professional accomplishments, Diane was known for her warm spirit and her joy in spending meaningful time with her family and friends.

Lawrence Malcolm Rich, 88, of Columbia, KY passed away peacefully at his residence on Monday, April 20, 2026. He was born on October 30, 1937 in Pellyton, KY, a son of the late O.L. Rich and Martha Ether Sapp Rich.

Lawrence lived a full and meaningful life, deeply rooted in his community and cherished by his loved ones. Throughout his years, Lawrence was known for his passionate support of the University of Kentucky basketball team. He was also a dedicated fan of horse racing and enjoyed watching the classic television series Gunsmoke, interests that reflected his appreciation for tradition and storytelling.

Lawrence's spiritual life was centered in the Barnett's Creek Community Church, where he was a proud and active member. His faith and commitment to his church community were among his greatest accomplishments, guiding his values and his interactions with others.

Marion Ancil Murphy, 90, of Liberty, KY, a visionary educator, orchardist, and a cornerstone of the Casey County community, passed away on Saturday, April 18, 2026 at Casey County Hospital. He was born on May 26, 1935 at his family home near Liberty, the son of the late Herman and Elsie Murphy.

Growing up on the local soil, he developed a deep-seated respect for the farming way of life, a passion that defined his career as a Horticulture Teacher at the Casey County Vocational School for many years. Marion took great pride in his garden and his orchards, assisting the Casey County Detention Center with their community garden. Marion loved to communicate with his community and educate them on growing their choice of crops. In the early 1970s, he co-founded the Casey County Apple Festival, helping local farmers market their harvest in addition to the county’s significant amount acres of apple trees. Though the founders initially hoped the event would last just a few years, Marion’s vision blossomed into a legendary Kentucky tradition that has endured for over half a century. Marion was a man of the earth who turned a practical idea into a legacy, but his greatest pride was his family. He loved and cherished his grandchildren and great-grandchildren deeply. Marion enjoyed cooking for his friends to gather them together often. He remains a testament to the impact one person can have when they dedicate their life to the people and the land they call home.

Terry W. Corbin, 73, of Columbia, KY died Friday, April 17, 2026 at his home. He was born November 8, 1952 in Columbia to the late Buford and Doris Kemp Corbin.

Terry had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Shiloh Christian Church. While we will all miss him here, we are sure he is playing that bass guitar in God’s chair as proud as he did at Shiloh Chrisitan Church. He was honored to serve as deacon and always wanted to be at every service as health would allow him to. Terry was well known as the “Black Top Man” as he had a career with Gaddie-Shamrock for over 40 years. He was always ready to start a conversation with anyone he met. He had many stories about people he got to know along his way. He was a kind hardworking man that enjoyed life to the fullest. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, hunting, and fishing with his buddy, Donnie.

Jimmy Turner, 82, of Columbia, KY passed away on Friday, April 17, 2026 at Vanderbilt Wilson County Hospital in Lebanon, Tennessee. He was born on November 19, 1943 in Adair County, KY, a son of the late Edgar Don and Mable Kemp Turner.

Jimmy lived a life marked by his faith in the Lord, love of his family, and deep connection to his friends and neighbors. A devoted husband, loving father, and cherished grandfather, Jimmy’s commitment extended beyond his family to a long and distinguished career. He was a retired Supervisor at Parker-Kalon, where he worked faithfully for 37 years. His work ethic and leadership touched many lives, leaving a lasting impact on those who had the privilege to know him professionally.

Jimmy’s passions reflected a rich and vibrant spirit. He enjoyed fishing and hunting, pursuits that brought him peace and pleasure in the outdoors. He also had a passion for restoring antique cars and trucks, a hobby through which he expressed both patience and creativity. Music was another source of joy, particularly singing gospel songs alongside his wife Linda, a testament to their shared devotion and uplifting faith.

Deeply rooted in his beliefs, Jimmy was a founding member of the Point Pleasant Lighthouse Baptist Church, an accomplishment of which he was especially proud. This role demonstrated his commitment to faith and community, guiding and inspiring many throughout his life.

Faye Blakey Morgan, 88, daughter of the late John Sidney and Susie Campbell Blakey, was born in Russell County on February 2, 1938 and departed this life on Thursday, April 16, 2026.

Faye was a former employee of Russell Sportswear and Fruit of the Loom, Inc. She was a dedicated member of Hayes Chapel Church, where she loved attending church and singing to the Lord.  Faye also enjoyed spending time outside and tending to her flowers. She was an outgoing person who never met a stranger, and she always made time to visit her family and friends that she dearly loved. Faye was a kind and loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, relative, and friend who will be sadly missed by her family, her church and community, and her many friends.

David Allen Murrell, 61, of Nashville, Tennessee and formerly of Columbia, KY, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 13, 2026 at the St. Thomas Midtown Hospital in Nashville. He was born on October 2, 1964 in Columbia, KY, a son of the late Tommie Bascom and Barbara Jean Bennett Murrell.

David lived a life marked by dedication, talent, and a deep love for God, his family, community, and country. His education began at Adair County High School, where he distinguished himself as a proud member of the marching band. He furthered his education at Western Kentucky University, carrying forward his passion for music and community involvement. As a gifted musician, David was the drummer for the band Blackstone Ash, sharing his talents with his community.

A dedicated HAM Radio Operator, David nurtured this hobby with enthusiasm, connecting with others and exploring the realms of communication technology. His faith was an integral part of his life; he was a devoted member of the Judson Baptist Church, where he generously contributed his time to assist with the youth group, fostering growth and guidance for younger generations.

She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of Green River Baptist Church.

Norma united in marriage to Wallace C. Russell on December 21, 1954 and he preceded her in death on September 4, 1992.

She was a retired employee of Fruit of the Loom in Campbellsville after twenty-eight years of service. She later worked as a CNA with Home Health and Medco Nursing Home for several years. Her family said, “she devoted her life to caring for others.”

Davida Mobelini, 61, of Russell Springs, KY passed away Tuesday, April 7, 2026 at Russell County Hospital. She was born in Hazard, KY on June 29, 1964, a daughter of Pamela Popp and David Combs.

Davida was a nurse.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Benny Mobelini and a brother, Ronald Combs.

The family is honoring her wishes with cremation and no service is planned.

H.E. Pruitt Memory Chapel in Jamestown, KY is in charge of the arrangements.

Joe Willis Bowe, 85, of Columbia, KY died Monday, April 6, 2026 at V.A. Medical Center in Lexington, KY. He was born September 8, 1940 in Adair County, a son of the late Ruben Frazier and Mattie Eva Bowe. 
 

Joe was a U.S. Army Veteran and had worked in construction.

Funeral Service: Saturday, April 11, 2026 at 2:00 P.M. at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home

Burial: Allen Cemetery in Cumberland County

Visitation: After 1:00 P.M. Saturday
