Mike was a member of the Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church. He was a truck driver for over 34 years. During that time he made many lifelong friends, became a mentor to other drivers, and kept the road full of laughter meeting and sharing stories wherever he drove. Prior to becoming a trucker, Mike owned an auto body repair shop for painting and rebuilding vehicles. He enjoyed repairing and painting vehicles and tractors until just a few weeks prior to his death. Mike’s daily routine was to keep busy and always moving. He could be driving cars for a local dealership, picking up loads for local trucking companies, enjoying the local “coffee” club with several friends at Druthers or working in his yard. Mike was also a bit of an animal lover. He rescued many animals in his lifetime and always treated them as if they were part of his family. Yet, as much as Mike enjoyed all these things, he enjoyed his family the most. Mike and his wife, Sharon, were often seen at his children’s homes, enjoying a day trip just to get out or heading for an overnight stay for a short adventure. The love that Mike had for his wife, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren was felt every day. He would have done anything they asked within his ability. Unless he wasn’t feeling well, he never missed a ballpark, play, fishing tournament, recital, or birthday. His family gathered regularly to spend time together for no other reason but to enjoy each other and Mike loved it. Mike’s extended family also gathered regularly for holidays and reunions. Mike’s family will greatly miss his contagious smile, jokes, and laughter.  He was an amazing husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. His absence will be greatly felt by all who loved him.
