Earnest Richardson, 82, of Campbellsville, KY, son of the late Harrison Richardson and Ruth Bryant Richardson, was born November 3, 1940 in Taylor County, KY. He died at 11:35pmET on Monday, November 28, 2022 in Campbellsville. 

 

He professed faith in Christ and was a member of Union Band Baptist Church. He served his country honorably in the United States National Guard. Earnest was a former employee of Fruit of the Loom in Campbellsville until the plant closed, then worked approximately 20 years at Kentucky Cooperage. He was also a farmer and his family said he was a very hard worker. Earnest enjoyed drag racing in his younger years.

 

He united in marriage to Judy A. Harris January 17, 1975 and she preceded him in death May 31, 2013.

Erna Wheat Dobson Sidebottom, 92, of Greensburg, KY, daughter of the late William Edward Dobson and Hattie Emma Perkins Dobson, was born on November 12, 1930 in Menard County, Illinois and departed this life on Tuesday, November 29, 2022 in Campbellsville.

 

She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Summersville Baptist Church. She was a seamstress, farmed with her late husband, had worked for the former Clark Casual Furniture Mfg. and was a domestic engineer in which she was an excellent cook.

 

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Harold Lewis Sidebottom on November 29, 2008 having united in marriage on May 27, 1947.

Doris Katheryn Shuffett, 75, of Campbellsville, KY passed away on Friday, November 25, 2022 at Campbellsville Nursing and Rehab. She was born on July 31, 1947 to Guy and Allene Dohoney in Campbellsville.

 

Kathy grew up in Campbellsville and graduated from Campbellsville High School in 1965. After she married, Kathy moved to Greensburg where she raised her children and spent most of her adult life. At the age of 40, Kathy went back to college and received her bachelor's degree in social work from Lindsey Wilson and her masters in counseling from Western Ky University. Kathy spent 20 years as a mental health therapist with Adanta, where one of her favorite roles was as the Director of the Adult Daycare in Greensburg, Ky. Kathy was a sweet mother and kind soul, and those who knew her loved her. She was known for her quick wit and great listening skills which made her so easy and fun to talk to. This sweet-tempered spirit and sense of humor served her well in her career as a therapist, Kathy was creative and artistic and shared this love of crafting with her daughters. She loved her garden and her flowers. Besides her children and grandchildren, she was most proud of her flower gardens at her home on Gabe Road in Summersville. She was an avid reader, she cheered on her UK Wildcats, and loved her dogs: Chester, Tank, Sassy Bell, and Charlie Max. 

 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Barbara Sue Vaughn.

He had made a profession of faith in Christ and attended the Nazarene Church. He was a veteran of the Korean War having served in the United States Navy and worked for Caterpillar Industries as a machinist for 30 years.

 

He united in marriage to Jeanne Eleanor Lobb on December 11, 1981 who preceded him in death on November 23, 2020.

She was an assistant at the PVA’s Office in Ashland for 7 years and a former instructor at Fruit of the Loom for over 10 years. Barbara was an outgoing, unselfish and kind hearted person who loved spending time with her family whom she loved dearly. She enjoyed sewing, cross stitching and traveling.

 

She united in marriage to John Richard “Dick” Clark October 25, 1968.

Adrain “Odell” Callahan, 89, of the Mannsville Community, the son of the late Bob Callahan and Lottie Herron Callahan, was born November 6, 1933 in Taylor County, KY and departed this life on Wednesday, November 23, 2022 in Campbellsville.

 

?Odell was of the Jehovah Witness Faith. He retired from the State Hwy Dept. after working 22 years and had farmed his entire life. His greatest joy was spending time with his family, his grandkids, great grandkids, and great great grandkids. He also loved to garden, farm, cut wood, and anything outdoors. He always loved lending a helping hand to his neighbors or anyone in need.

 

?Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother: Ancil “Tom” Callahan, one sister: Lorene Whitley, and one great grandson Matt Clark.

He was a farmer and a Korean War Veteran having served in the United States Air Force from 1956 until 1960 as a Boiler Technician. He was a member of the V.F.W in Homestead, Florida, a hunter & fisherman and loved saltwater fishing.

Don professed faith in Christ and was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church where he enjoyed singing in the choir. He was retired salesman and delivery driver for Butternut and later Rainbow Bread Companies. Don was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting, fishing and trap shooting.

 

He united in marriage to Judie Whitley August 24, 1986.

Linda Lou Price, 81, was born January 2, 1941 in Green County, KY to the late Lloyd Earl Young and Gladys Warf Young. She departed this life Wednesday, November 16, 2022 at the Campbellsville Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.


Linda had made a profession of faith in Christ and was of the Baptist Faith. She worked at Fruit of the Loom and was a member of the Taylor County Homemakers.


Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Larry Matney; 2 sisters: Hazel Clark and Christola Woodson; 2 brothers:  Reginald and Lemuel Young; 1 half-brother: Estill Young; sister-in-law, Marie Vance Young; brother-in-law & sister-in-law: Jr & Elizabeth Jones.

Tommy Russell Pyles, 69, of Campbellsville, KY, the son of the late John Willie and Rosie (Sallee) Pyles, was born August 29, 1953 in Adair County, KY and departed this life on Tuesday, November 15, 2022 at his home.

         

Tommy was a logger and was raised of the Baptist Faith. He enjoyed stock car racing, dirt track racing, camping and spending time with his family.

Ralph Keith Stillwell, 67, Taylor County, KY

 

Ralph Keith Stillwell, 67, of the Mac Community of Taylor County, departed this life at 2:40 A.M. on Wednesday, November 16, 2022, surrounded by his family.  Keith was born in Taylor County on July 9, 1955, the son of Estelene Dotson Stillwell and the late Ralph Garland Stillwell. 

 

Keith professed faith in Christ when he was a young man and lived a life in accordance with the teachings of his Savior. He was a member of Mt. Roberts Baptist Church. Keith worked as a floor installer, laying carpet, hardwood floor and tile for decades before his retirement.  He worked hard and took great pride in his craft. Keith was a loving husband and father and a kind neighbor who was always willing to help those in need. One of his greatest joys was gathering all of his family together for a cookout. He also enjoyed meeting his friends and neighbors for breakfast at The Ol' Mule Diner and loved long drives on scenic country roads. 

Keith united in marriage to Deborah Ann "Debbie" Hawkins on November 24, 1979.

Stephen Douglas Farmer, 66, of Campbellsville, KY, son of the late Fonzie Farmer and Bonnie Gabehart Farmer, was born February 15, 1956 in Taylor County, KY. He died at 7:27 P.M., Monday, November 14, 2022 in Louisville. 

 

He professed faith in Christ and was a member of East Campbellsville Church of God. Doug was a former employee of Fruit of the Loom in Campbellsville. He was a Ford man through and through, enjoyed his guns and his cars, liked to fish and was an avid softball player when he was younger. Doug’s dog, Cricket, was always at his side when he was home. He was a family man and loved his wife, children and grandchildren with all his heart. Doug was also a familiar face at Campbellsville Gun and Pawn.

She professed faith in Christ and was a member of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church. Linda was a retired registered nurse. She was hard worker and loved to travel, especially with her nursing career.    

 

She united in marriage to Harold Dean Ogelvie August 6, 1981 and he preceded her in death September 14, 2003.

 

Linda was a very loving person.  She took care of family and always looked out for her kids and grandkids.

Channie Darrell Osborne, 80, Campbellsville, KY


Channie Darrell Osborne, 80, of Campbellsville was born in Knifley on May 12, 1942 to the late Wildy and Jenny Mae Osborne. He departed this life on Sunday, November 13, 2022 at the Taylor Regional Hospital.
 

He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of Campbellsville First Church of God. Mr. Osborne spent 27 years at the Fruit of the Loom plant, only retiring at the plant’s closure. He loved to tinker with small engines and had a knack for bringing so-called “junk” back to life. On September 3, 1960, he united in marriage to the love of his life, Ms. Jane Arden Richerson, and they remained a devoted couple until his passing. His love and devotion for his family will be the keystone of every memory shared for many years.

She professed faith in Christ and was a member of South Campbellsville Baptist Church. Pauline was a hard worker and a retired employee of Fruit of the Loom in Campbellsville after forty-four years of service. She loved spending time with her family and friends, working in her flowers, being outdoors, playing rook and gathering shells at the beach. Pauline had a quick wit and especially enjoyed laughing and making others laugh.

 

She united in marriage to Gene Judd October 28, 1964 and he preceded her in death on April 19, 2021.

Keith Summers, 70, of Campbellsville, KY, son of the late Arthur Summers and Ann Glover Summers, was born August 21, 1952 in Taylor County, KY. He died at 4:33 P.M., Tuesday, November 8, 2022 in Campbellsville. 

 

He was a non-denominational child of God. Keith had worked for Goodwill Industries for fourteen years and was the maintenance foreman and supervisor over the transportation department of many different Goodwill stores in the surrounding area. He loved his family, spending time with them and friends and playing golf. His passion was riding his Harley Davidson.

Carol Ann Sibert, 63, residing in Vermilion, passed away Sunday, November 6, 2022 while visiting friends and family in Kentucky. She was born on November 24, 1958 in Sibert, KY to the late William L. and Mary Ann (Brewer) Sibert.  

 
Carol was very down to earth and enjoyed sitting outside in nature,sitting at the beach, camping and being a member of her hunting club. Her greatest joy was spending time with her children and grandchildren. She had a strong community of friends and loved ones that she would do anything for.

Susan Marie Perkins Harris, 61, of Campbellsville, KY, the daughter of the late William Bloyd and Mary (Rogers) Perkins, was born October 28, 1961 in Jefferson County, KY and departed this life on Tuesday, November 8, 2022 at the Taylor Regional Hospital. 

 

Susan had made a profession of faith in Christ and was of the Baptist Faith. She was a former employee of Fruit of the Loom in the cafeteria. Susan enjoyed watching wresting and drinking her Mt. Dew.

 

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Willard L. “Hank” Harris, Sr. and a son, Milburn Bloyd Harris in 1998.

Wickliffe Lee “Wick” Fergerson, 84, of Mannsville, KY, the son of the late Marrs and Ruth (Childers) Fergerson, was born June 26, 1941 in Taylor County, KY (Mannsville Community) and passed away Friday, November 4, 2022 in Elizabethtown at the Baptist Health Hardin. 
 
He had made a profession of faith in Christ and attended the Fairview Baptist Church at Mannsville and was a former inspector for General Electric. Mr. Fergerson was a Veteran, having served in the United States Army. He loved the outdoors and was an automobile enthusiast and also enjoyed fishing, boating and being a craftsman.
 
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Dennis Harrod and a sister, Shelia Boston.

Jerry Lee Foley, 78, of Campbellsville, KY, son of the late Leo D. and Edna Irene (Long) Foley, was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on March 9, 1944. He departed this life on Friday, November 4, 2022 at the Norton Brownsboro Hospital after a brief illness. 
 
Mr. Foley was a farmer, and was of the Christian faith.

Louise Ford, 69, of Campbellsville, KY the daughter of the late Howard Adrian Hicks and Edna Jane (Sidwell) Edwards, was born, September 25, 1953 in Taylor County, KY and departed this life on Tuesday, November 1, 2022 in Louisville at the Norton Hospital. 
 
She had made a profession of faith in Christ and attended the New Journey Church. It was there she met Pastor Jeff and Sis. Carmen Edwards, whom she loved dearly, and remained close friends with, until her passing. She was a former employee of Fruit of the Loom and Fleetwood, both in Campbellsville. Louise enjoyed cooking, playing the piano, the guitar, and other instruments; she loved singing and wrote several songs. but time spent with her family and grandkids topped it all.
 
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister: Sharon Sherrell and a granddaughter: Sierra Summers.

Kelly Junior Sherrell,  83, of Bradfordsville, KY, the son of the late B. Pendleton and Elizabeth (Chapman) Raikes, was born December 4, 1938 in Taylor County and departed this life on Wednesday, November 2, 2022 in Liberty at the Liberty Care Center. 

 

He had made a profession of faith in Christ and attended the Arbuckle Baptist Church and was a farmer. Kelly was always found working, he was known at the “town mechanic”, he would work on cars, and small engines. He enjoyed playing music of all kinds and could play many instruments such as the guitar, piano, mandolin, just to name a few.

 

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Elizabeth ‘Libby” Powell; a brother, Gene Autry Tungate; and 3 daughters-in-law: Nita Sherrell, Sharon Sherrell and Cathy Lane.
