Campbellsville Man is Charged With Sexual Misconduct

A Campbellsville man is facing numerous counts of sexual misconduct after being indicted last week by the Green County Grand Jury, Green County Sheriff Robby Beard told 99.9 The Big Dawg that Jerry York age 21 was arrested early Monday after turning himself in at the sheriffs department. York is charged with 4 counts of rape, sodomy, sexual abuse, video voyeurism and unlawful use of a minor in a sexual performance. York was taken to the Taylor County Detention Center in Campbellsville.

Woman Charged In Stabbing Incident, Arrested by Campbellsville Police

On Monday, August 29, 2022 at approximately 7:58 P.M., Campbellsville Police received a complaint of a stabbing in the area of South Central Avenue. 

 

After an investigation, 33-year old Sasha E. Daugherty of Somerset was arrested and charged with Assault 2nd degree.  She was lodged in the Taylor County Detention Center. 

 

The victim was transported to Taylor Regional Hospital by private vehicle, where she was treated and released. 

The Fire Alarm Sounded Friday Afternoon in Taylor County

Taylor County Firemen responded to 121 Ten Oaks Lane late Friday afternoon, fire chief Howard Dobson reports that upon arrival firemen found heavy fire and smoke coming from a double wide mobile home, the mobile home sustained heavy damage, no injuries reported.

 
Ten firemen and four apparatus were on the scene for the Taylor County Volunteer Fire Department, the alarm was at 4:16pm Friday afternoon, Campbellsville Fire & Rescue also responded.

Boating Accident Sends Man to the Hospital

Man airlifted after boating accident Monday at Green River Lake in Taylor County, Big Dawg news learned that Jeff Hillard lost control of his boat traveling 30 feet into a wooded area near the Smith ridge boat ramp, Hillard was airlifted to Uof L Hospital in Louisville. 

The boating mishap remains under investigation by Ky Fish & Wildlife.

Green County Youths Were Injured Friday in ATV/UTV Crash

Green County Sheriff Robby Beard reported to 99.9 the Big Dawg that at least 4 Green County juveniles were injured after a 4 wheeler and UTV hit head on Friday afternoon on Holly Grove Church road, Beard said that three people were air-lifted to UofL Hospital and one person was transferred to Jane Todd Crawford Hospital in Greensburg.

The investigation continues by deputy sheriff Adam Rainwater with the Green County Sheriffs Department.

 

Marion County Man Injured Friday in Taylor County Accident

A Marion County man was injured Friday afternoon in a two vehicle accident on US 68 New Lebanon road, Taylor County Sheriff Allen Newton told 99.9 the Big Dawg radio that Joseph Miles age 84 of Lebanon was pulling from Palestine Road onto to US 68 and pulled into the path of an auto driven by Timothy Childress of Louisville. Childress was not injured, Miles was taken to Taylor Regional Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The mishap occured Friday afternoon 4:31pm and was investigated by Sgt. mark Dicken with the Taylor County Sheriffs dept. 

Truck and Motorcycle Collide Monday Night in Taylor County, Man Airfifted

Taylor County Sheriffs Department investigated a vehicle versus motorcycle collision just before 7pm Monday night, sheriff Allen Newton told 99.9 The Big Dawg radio that Preston Keller age 29 of Oklahoma failed to stop at the intersection of Hatcher & Meadow creek road colliding with a motorcycle operated by Timothy Newcomb age 40 of Campbellsville, Newcomb was air lifted from the scene, Keller was not injured. The mishap occurred Monday night at 6:46pm was investigated by Sgt. Mark Dicken with the Taylor County Sheriffs Department.

Green County Man Charged After Digging Up Time-Capsule

A Greensburg man was arrested after digging up the 2004 time-capsule that was buried on the old courthouse lawn, Greensburg Police Chief Wayne Hedgespeth told 99.9 The Big Dawg radio that Danny Richards was observed Sunday night carrying what a appeared to be a large rock in downtown Greensburg, after investigating officers with Greensburg Police discovered that the object was not a rock, it was the time- capsule that was buried in 2004 on the historic courthouse lawn. 

Richards was charged with criminal trespassing, theft, resisting arrest, public intoxication and other charges.
