Violet Russell, 89, of Russell Springs, KY passed away on Tuesday, August 25, 2026 at her home. She was born on February 14, 1937 in Russell County, a daughter of the late Elvert and Hazel Dierking Russell.
 

Violet was a retired mechanic from American Laundry in Cincinnati, Ohio. She was a fun and loving person, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

1 son: Johnny (and Brenda) Russell of Russell Springs 

1 grandson: Johnathan Russell of Russell Springs 

1 great-grandson: Dexter Russell of Russell Springs

In addition to her parents, Violet was preceded in death by her brothers and sisters: Delmar Russell, Raymond Russell, Garold Russell, Dale Russell Fred Russell, Dorothy Elsener, Beatrice Heavey, Isabelle Simmonds, Mildred Lynch, and Jean Catanzaro. 

In accordance with her wishes, cremation rites were honored by Bernard Funeral Home. 

A private graveside service and inurnment will take place at McBeath Cemetery.
