Lois Marie Holt Meece, 88, of Glens Fork, KY passed away on Saturday, September 5, 2026 at Fair Oaks Health and Rehabilitation in Jamestown. She was born on June 21, 1938 in Russell County, a daughter of the late James Frank and Clara Frances Wiggington Crockett.
 

Lois was a retired factory worker from Fruit of the Loom. After retirement, she enjoyed being a caregiver and a homemaker. Lois was of the Separate Baptist faith.

2 grandchildren: Angela Holt of Liberty and Joshua Holt of Columbia

6 great-grandchildren

1 brother: Galen (Connie) Crockett of Jamestown

1 sister: Gladys Daniel of Jamestown

A host of nieces & nephews
 

In addition to her parents, Lois was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Meece; two sons: Jackie Holt and Douglas Holt; three brothers: William Crockett, Willis Crockett, and Phallis Crockett; and three sisters: Roxie Crockett, Verlean Dykes, and Vonzie Hill. 
 

Funeral service: Monday, September 7, 2026 at 1:00 P.M. at Bernard Funeral Home with Bro. Brayden Smith officiating

Burial: Crockett Cemetery

Visitation: After 10:00 A.M. on Monday at the funeral home

Pallbearers: Ronnie Holt, Mark Crockett, Tyler Crockett, Kevin Crockett, Cody Crockett, Jeremy Hammond, and Chris Wesley.
