Bobby Popplewell, 95, of Russell Springs, KY passed away Sunday, August 16, 2026 at the Jean Waddle Care Center in Somerset, KY. He was born on August 1, 1931 in Greensburg, KY, a son of the late Jennie Vee Milby Popplewell and Theodore Roosevelt Popplewell.
Bobby was retired from Caterpillar and was a member of Clear Fork Baptist Church. He loved karaoke and BINGO, and was an avid Donald Trump fan; he loved his Trump cap. Bobby loved his family and friends and his dog Runner, his constant companion.

2 daughters: Donna McMahel (Kenneth) of Jamestown, KY and Betty Hare (David) of Russell Springs, KY
2 sons: Robert Popplewell (Nadine) and Terry Popplewell (Marsha), both of Columbia, KY
3 brothers: Spencer Popplewell (Della) of Russell Springs, KY, Earl Dean Popplewell of California, and Jerry Popplewell (Sandy) of Illinois
A host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Rose Popplewell; a son, Ted Popplewell; four brothers: Okie Popplewell, Orvan Popplewell, Carson Popplewell, and Thomas Popplewell; and two sisters: Mimi Popplewell and Ann Daniels.
