James Bryant Hubbard, 96, of Jamestown, KY passed away Saturday, August 8, 2026 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset. He was born on December 6, 1929 in Russell County, a son of the late James Walter and Lena Martin Hubbard. 

James was a lifelong farmer and a member of Mount Olive Baptist Church.

A host of nieces and nephews

In addition to his parents, James was preceded in death by three brothers: Martin Hubbard,  Rheid Hubbard and Bobby Hubbard; and six sisters: Virginia Hubbard, Pauline Roy, Ella Partenheimer, Marine Wilson, Ruth Cunningham, and Peggy Gibson.

Funeral Service: Wednesday, August 12, 2026 at 2:00 PM at Bernard Funeral Home with Bro. Greg Wade officiating

Burial: Poplar Grove Cemetery

Visitation: After 11:00 AM on Wednesday at Bernard Funeral Home

Pallbearers: Jeff Hubbard, Junior Cunningham, Joseph Luttrell, Ned Cunningham, Nick Cunningham and Mitchell Cunningham

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Mount Olive Baptist Church. Donations can be made at the funeral home.
