Jane Moran Akin, 82, formerly of Columbia, KY died Sunday, June 21, 2026 at her home in Versailles, KY. She was born May 2, 1944 in Adair County to the late Maurice and Callie Frances Massie Moran.  

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Dean Akin in 2025 and her brother, Maury Moran in 1976.

Jane retired as a Compliance Officer with the Kentucky E.P.A. and was a member of First Christian Church in Versailles.

2 daughters: Alice Ellis (Timmy) of Elizabethtown and Anne Reichenbach (Mark) of Midway

1 sister: Nancy Moran Fouser of Versailles

3 grandchildren: Laruen Elkins (Chris), Callie Little (Jack) and Will Reichenbach

6 great-grandchildren: Jordan Elkins, Kylie Elkins, Elliot Elkins, Finn Elkins, Levi Little and Oliver Little

Burial: Columbia Cemetery

Visitation: After 10:00 A.M. Sunday

Casket Bearers: Ted Fouser, Ray Fouser, Tony Grant, Timmy Ellis, Mark Reichenbacher, and David Martin
