Kenneth Lee "Moose" Cowan, 77, of Columbia, KY passed away peacefully on Friday, April 10, 2026 at the Shanti Niketan Hospice in Glasgow, KY surrounded by his family and friends. He was born on March 26, 1949 in Adair County, KY, a son of the late Clem and Ethel Burton Cowan.

Kenneth lived a life marked by dedication to his family, a strong connection to his community, and a deep appreciation for the outdoors. He attended the Freedom Separate Baptist Church, where his faith played a central role in his life. Those who knew him remember a man who enjoyed farming, working in his garage, and spending time outdoors. Above all, he treasured moments shared with his family and special friends.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his daughter, Angela Rene Cowan Smith and twelve siblings: Gilbert, William, Danny, Elvin, Benny, and James Cowan, Kathleen Wilson, Frances Corbin, Bertha Bohannon, Irene Cowan, Margie Richard, and Pearslee Reece.
