Peggy M. Jessee, 82, Columbia, KY


Peggy M. Jessee, 82, of Columbia, KY passed away peacefully on March 23, 2026 at T.J. Samson Community Hospital in Glasgow, KY. Born on October 29, 1943 in Louisville, KY, Peggy lived a full and vibrant life marked by her generous spirit and deep devotion to her family and community.

 

Peggy was well-loved for her warm personality and her joy in simple pleasures. She cherished attending gospel singings, boating, and fishing, activities through which she found great happiness and relaxation. More than anything else, she treasured spending time with her loving family and close friends, who brought immeasurable joy to her life.

Her devoted husband: Wayne Jessee

1 son: Tony Jessee & wife Cindy of Louisville, KY

4 grandchildren: Christina Duchene & husband Travis, Ryan Jessee & wife Jordan, Madison Jessee and Morgan Jessee

3 great-grandchildren: Emory and Bryce Duchene and Liam Jessee

Her siblings: Carol Rogers & husband Wayne; Bro. Don Taylor & wife Stacy; Gayle Fudge & husband Larry; Jennie Pennington & husband David; Kathy Norris & husband Kevin; Janet McInteer & husband Joe; Carmella McDonald & husband Greg; Pam Flowers & husband Wayne; and Steve Taylor & wife Debbie

She was preceded in death by her parents, Marion Huston and Laura Juanita Gray Taylor, and four siblings: Gary Wayne Taylor, Bonnie Janes, Mitchell Taylor, and Billy Taylor.

 

Funeral service: Saturday, March 28, 2026 at 1:00pmCT at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home 

 

Burial: Haven Hill Cemetery

 

Visitation: Friday, March 27, 2026 from 4:00-8:00pmCT and Saturday until funeral time

 

Pallbearers: Ryan Jessee, Chris Hafling, Matthew Hafling, Darren Taylor, Bobby Norris, and Hunter Flowers

 

Peggy M. Jessee’s memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew her, as a woman of faith, love, and kindness. Her legacy of family devotion and joyful spirit will continue to inspire and uplift all who were fortunate enough to share in her life.
