Dewey Lee Rogers, Jr., 80, of the Sano community of Adair County, KY, the son of the late Dewey L. Rogers, Sr. and Lucille Childers Rogers, was born June 28, 1945 in Stone, KY and departed this life on Monday, March 23, 2026 in Somerset at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital. 

He professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Whites Ridge General Baptist Church. Dewey was an Over the Road Truck Driver, and a retired foreman for Peterson Construction. He enjoyed fishing, riding motorcycles, gardening, hunting, and being outdoors.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Terry Lee Rogers on June 20, 2025 and by his siblings: Linda Glaze, Burl Ray Rogers, Sandy Marcum, Barbara Ann Rogers, Chester Rogers, James Rogers, Michael Rogers, and Robert Rogers.

3 sons & 1 daughter: Leon Rogers & wife Billie, and Rev. Dickie Rogers & wife Brenda of Columbia; Forbie Rogers & wife Bea of Russell Springs; and Jennifer Gaddis & husband Jamie of Elk Horn
One sister: Betty Marcum & husband Mike of Arizona
3 brothers: Larry Eugene Rogers & wife Ginger of Lima, OH; Billy Jack Rogers & wife Teresa of Versailles; and Craig Stephen Rogers & wife Karen of Tennessee
17 grandchildren & a host of great-grandchildren 
 

FUNERAL SERVICE: Saturday, March 28, 2026 at 11:00amET at L.R. Petty Funeral Home in Campbellsville with Rev. Dickie Rogers and Rev. Craig Rogers officiating

INTERMENT: Free Union Cemetery in the Sano community of Adair County

VISITATION: Friday, March 27, 2026 from 5:00pm-8:00pmET at the funeral home
