Carolyn Sue Coomer, 82, of Columbia, KY passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 12, 2026 at Summit Manor Nursing Home in Columbia. She was born on January 31, 1944 in Adair County, KY, a daughter of the late Jerome and Gladys Munday Coomer.

Carolyn lived a life filled with devotion to her family, faith, and community. Throughout her years, Carolyn was known for her warm spirit and creative talents. She was a member of the Egypt Christian Church and found great joy in crocheting and quilting. Above all, she cherished spending time with her family and friends, valuing those connections deeply.

3 siblings: Dalton Coomer, Loy Coomer (Rita), and Darrell Coomer (Connie), all of Columbia, KY
3 sisters-in-law: Shirley Coomer, Virginia Coomer, and Annette Coomer

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her siblings: Selby, Garry, Glenn, Woodson, James Maxey, Alton, Larry, and John Wayne Coomer.
