Odell Bennett, 87, of Edmonton, KY passed away on Saturday, February 28, 2026 at Metcalfe County Health Care. He was born on December 11, 1938, a son of the late Arthur and Oakley Coomer Bennett.
Odell lived a life marked by dedication, hard work, and a deep love for his family and community. A lifelong farmer, Odell devoted himself to the land, embodying the true spirit of rural life. He was not only committed to his work but also cherished his hobbies, including coon hunting, which brought him much joy and relaxation. In addition to farming and his outdoor pursuits, Odell valued the time spent with his family and friends, creating lasting memories that will be treasured.

In additon to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a brother, Justin Bennett and a sister, Ruby Jessie.
Funeral Service: Friday, March 6, 2026 at 1:00pmCT at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home in Columbia, KY
Burial: Morris Chapel Cemetery
Visitation: After 10:00amCT on Friday at the funeral home
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Morris Chapel Cemetery and can be left at the funeral home.
