Jaxson Tate Akin, 9, of the Glens Fork community of Adair County, KY was born on June 30, 2016 in Campbellsville, KY and passed away on Sunday, March 1, 2026 at Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee.

Tate was a member of Egypt Christian Church and a fourth grader at Adair County Elementary School.

Tate was preceded in death by his grandparents, Jackie Durham and Cindy Harris and an uncle, Seth Akin.

Funeral service: Friday, March 6, 2026, at 1:00 P.M. at Egypt Christian Church with Bro. Paul Patton and Bro. Joel Patton officiating

Burial: Antioch Cemetery

Visitation: After 3:00 P.M. Thursday 3:00 P.M. and from 6:00 A.M. until 9:00 A.M. Friday at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home; and after 10:00 A.M. Friday at Egypt Christian Church
