Ann Martin, 70, Columbia, KY


Ann Martin, 70, of Columbia, KY died Saturday, February 21, 2026 at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington. She was born September 1, 1955 in Adair County, a daughter of the late Geraldine Davidson Grant and Herschel Grant.

 

She was also preceded in death by a sister, Linda Kessler.

 

Ann had a 41 year successful career in the banking industry, starting as a Part-Time Teller at First National Bank and eventually becomingMarket President of First & Farmers National Bank, retiring in 2022.  

 

She was a member of Gum Lick Christian Church, currently serving on the Board of Directors of First & Farmers National Bank, a member of the Chamber of Commerce and had served on the Economic Development Authority.

 

SURVIVORS:

Her husband: Steve Martin of Columbia

1 daughter & son-in-law: Lori & Matt Smith of Bowling Green

1 son & daughter-in-law: Dr. S. Ross and Leigh Ann Martin of Edmond, Oklahoma

4 grandchildren: Addison, Lucy, and Maggie Martin and Wilder Smith

1 brother: David Grant (Vanessa Flinchum) of Campbellsville

1 sister and 2 brothers-in-law: Patsy and Bill Melton of Lexington and Edward Kessler of Columbia

Several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends

 

Funeral service: Wednesday, February 25, 2026 at 11:00 A.M. at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home with Bro. Steve Martin and Dr. S. Ross Martin officiating

 

Burial: Haven Hill Cemetery with Bro. Richard Martin officiating

 

Visitation: After 4:00 P.M. Tuesday

 

In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate a donation to the Ann Martin Endowed Scholarship Fund at Lindsey Willson University or a charity of the donor’s choice.
