Eugene Ray “Gene” Robinson, 88, of Columbia, KY died Thursday, December 18, 2025 at TJ Health Columbia. He was born on February 17, 1937 in Sparksville, KY to the late Osby and Myrtle Furkin Robinson. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Terry Perkins and two brothers: Elton Robinson and James Elwood Robinson.

Gene attended Egypt Christian Church, was a U.S. Army Veteran, and a retired construction worker and farmer

His wife: Mildred Booher Robinson of Columbia

3 daughters: Ruth Ann Lewis (Randolph) of Columbia, Jeanie Withers (Billy) of Columbia and Stacey Perkins of Russell Springs

6 grandchildren: Nicholas Lewis, Jennifer Lewis, Lindsey Hadley (Bart), Candace Giles (Shad), Jordon Withers (Nikki) and Dylan Perkins

8 great-grandchildren: Tanner Lewis, Tatum Lewis (Sammy), Hudson Hadley, Harper Hadley, Hensley Hadley, Brock Withers, Claire Withers and Livvi Withers

Special friend: Ruel Potts of Louisville

Funeral Service: Saturday, December 20, 2025 at 2:00 P.M. at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home with Bro. Paul Patton and Dylan Perkins officiating

Burial: Columbia Cemetery with full military honors presented by V.F.W. Post 6097

Visitation: After 10:00 A.M. Saturday
