Marsel Popplewell, 79, of Russell Springs, KY passed away Thursday, November 13, 2025 at his residence. He was born on March 24, 1946 in Russell Springs, KY, a son of the late Emmitt and Maudie Johnson Popplewell.

He was retired from the Kentucky State Parks and was a veteran of the United States Army.

1 sister: Katie Hatfield of Jabez, KY
1 brother: Thurman Popplewell of Columbus, IN

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death ten siblings: Nona E. Siler, Margie Roslene Chumbley, Audeen Fox, Vonda Mae Fizer, Ocus, Coy, Dewell, Bruce, Kirby, and Darwin Popplewell.

Interment: Popplewell Cemetery with military honors by the Russell County Honor Guard
