Edward "Eddie" Krug, 92, Knifley, KY

 
Edward “Eddie” Krug, 92, of Knifley, KY departed this life on Tuesday, January 7, 2025 at Taylor Regional Hospital. He was born on October 5, 1932 in Rantoul, IL, a son of the late Edgar Leroy Krug and Mattie Phillips.
 

Eddie worked as a stone mason for many years and completed many projects in his career. Some of his notable local builds are the entrances to Campbellsville University and Hidden Meadows. He also worked on bridges and built the Central Plaza shopping center. He built the Knifley Fire Department and served as one of its founding members. He loved the outdoors and was an avid fisherman. Eddie served his country honorably in the Air Force. Eddie professed faith in Christ and was of the Methodist faith.

 

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a son, Edward Anthony Krug on September 9, 2012.

 

SURVIVORS:
His wife of 53 years: Kay Krug of Knifley 
3 children: Diana Lynn Stiles & husband Cary of Campbellsville; Karen Denise Cook & husband Robert of Texas; and Rochelle Krug Sizemore & husband Fred of Danville
6 grandchildren
1 brother & 1 sister: Ronnie Allen of Campbellsville and Carol Lasko of Carroll, Ohio
 

FUNERAL SERVICE: Monday, January 13, 2025 at 1:00pmET at Auberry Funeral Home in downtown Campbellsville with Bro. Brian Montgomery officiating

BURIAL: Campbellsville Memorial Gardens
 
VISITATION: Sunday, January 12, 2025 from 5:00pm-8:00pmET at Auberry Funeral Home 
 

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested expressions of sympathy may be made in the form of donations to the Cure Alzheimer’s Fund, the Wounded Warrior Project, or your favorite charity. These donations may be made at the funeral home.
