Mary Jean Eads Burton, 84, of Columbia, KY passed away Friday, December 13, 2024 at T.J. Health Columbia. She was born in Casey County, KY on June 13, 1940 to the late Leslie Eads and Alice Johnson Monday.

She was also preceded in death by her husband, Freddie Burton and two siblings: Evelyn Coy and James Eads.

Mrs. Burton was of the Christian faith and enjoyed flower gardening and spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren.

4 children: Tommy Burton (Carolyn) of Columbia, KY, Jeff Burton of Indianapolis, IN, Becky Carter (David) of Campbellsville, KY and Cathy Antle of Columbia, KY

7 grandchildren: Scott Burton, Chris Huckaby, Chad Huckaby, Shawn Carter, Matthew Burton (Holly), Cheyenne Neat (Cody), and Kimberly Popplewell (Chris)

8 great-grandchildren: Wyatt, Brayden, Jayden, Jaxton, Destiny, Kaycee, Brook, and Addie

1 great-great-grandchild: Miller

1 sister: Jewel Clements (Junior) of Liberty, KY

Burial: Haven Hill Cemetery

Visitation: Sunday from 4:00-8:00pmCT and Monday until time for the service
