Vernon C. Parson, 79, of Columbia, KY died Tuesday, July 30, 2024 at 1:47 A.M. at T.J. Health/Columbia Emergency Room. He was born February 15, 1945 in Adair County to the late Andy Clifton and Ada Frances Richard Parson. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Sharon Taylor Parson on November 8, 2022, his son-in-law, Mike Burris, three brothers, Carl, Leroy and Clell Parson and his sister, Ruth Bell.

Vernon was a member of Gradyville Baptist Church, but enjoyed visiting several churches, and retired from Greensburg Manufacturing.

1 daughter: Sherry Burris of Columbia

2 brothers: Willard Parson and Steve Parson both of Columbia

Several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends

Funeral Service: Friday, August 2, 2024 at 11:00 A.M. at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home with Bro. Willard Parson and Bro. Barney Taylor officiating

Burial: Tarter’s Chapel Cemetery

Visitation: After 5:00 P.M. Thursday

Casket Bearers: Anthony Parson, Chandler Staten, Briley Taylor, Casey Taylor, DJ Kirkendolph, Jerry Lucietta, Steve Parson, Michael Parson
