Betty Jane Roy, 76, of Jamestown, KY passed away Sunday, July 14, 2024 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset, KY. She was born August 12, 1947 in Creelsboro, KY, a daughter of the late Rufus and Geneva Keaton Flatt.
Betty worked for many years as a manager in the hotel industry and she was raised in the Baptist faith.

1 son: Tony (Karen) Popplewell of Louisville
1 daughter: Melissa Roy of Taylorsville
1 brother: David (Judy) Flatt of Shepherdsville
2 sisters: Bobby Roy and Linda Kay Flatt, both of Jamestown
3 grandchildren: Chelsey Roy, Benjamin Popplewell, and Janet “Jaye” (Rob) Thompson
1 great-grandchild: Kaelynn Long
In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Lisa Michelle Roy.
Per Betty’s wishes, cremation rites were honored and a Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, July 18, 2024 at 12:00pmCT at Bernard Funeral Home with Bro. John White officiating.
