Elizabeth Wayne Pickett, 96, formerly of Columbia, KY died Friday, April 26, 2024 at 1:10 A.M. at the Hospice House in Bowling Green. She was born February 9, 1928 in Green County, KY to the late Olie Atwell and Nettie Beulah Dawson Coffey.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Colby Pickett; her sons-in-law: Charles Jones and Billy Grant; and the following siblings: Winfrey Coffey, Ray Coffey, Naomi Coffey, Gertrude Garrison and Kathleen Squires.
Wayne was a member of Columbia Baptist Church, a homemaker and enjoyed fishing and working with the garden produce, being the best of any cutting off corn.
SURVIVORS:
2 daughters: Sue Grant of Columbia, KY and Donna Jones of Auburn, KY
4 grandchildren: Rick Grant, Brad Grant, Becca Melloan and Jenna Haynes
3 great-grandchildren: Colby, Emmie and Garrett
Several other relatives and friends, including a special nephew, Carol Harmon
Funeral Service: Monday, April 29, 2024 at 12:00 P.M. at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home with Bro. Randy Johnson officiating
Burial: Orr Cemetery in Green County
Visitation: After 10:00 A.M. Monday
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate a donation to Columbia Baptist Church or to the Green River Animal Shelter and can be left at the funeral home.
