John L. Ritzie, 79, of Breeding, KY passed away Tuesday, February 20, 2024, at the T.J. Health Columbia. He was born on July 5, 1944 in Hamilton, OH to the late Fredrick J. Ritzie and Virginia Rollins Ritzie.
 

He was also preceded in death by a sister, Gerri Ritzie Carter.

Mr. Ritzie was a member of the Good Shepherd Catholic Church and enjoyed Bowling, Woodworking and spending time with his family and friends.

4 children: David Ritzie (Michelle) and Melissa Smith (Rob) of Hamilton, OH; Jolyn Morgan (Dan) and Lathan Ritzie of Breeding, KY

10 grandchildren: Bryan Bowlin (Caitlyn), Travis Ritzie (Paige), Jessica Flores, Olivia Ritzie, Sophia Ritzie, Devery Smith, Kaylen Smith, Raeonna Ritzie, West Morgan and Rose Morgan

3 great-grandchildren: Blake Hillman, Gisele Flores, and Rozel Flores

2 siblings: Fredrick P. Ritzie and Theresa Ritzie Ried

Funeral Mass: Saturday, February 24, 2024 ar 11:00amCT at the Good Shepherd Catholic Church, 1217 Greensburg St., Columbia, KY with Father Pat Dolan celebrating the Funeral Mass

Visitation: Saturday from 9:00am-10:45amCT at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home

The family has asked in Lieu of flowers to help with the funeral expenses and they can be left at the funeral home.

Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
