Kenny Wayne “Rainmaker” Powell, 61, of Columbia, KY departed from this earthly life to his heavenly home on January 2, 2024 in Glasgow, KY.

He was preceded in death by his father, Walker McKinney “Wormy” Powell. 

Kenny was a member of New Life for the Nations Church, a life-long enthusiast of Semi Trucks, big fan of Elvis, Gunsmoke and the McCoy’s. He was known for his witty humor and kind heart.

2 grandsons: River and Nolan (who were the light of his life) and expecting a granddaughter, Everly in February 2024

1 brother & sister-in-law: Bobby & Jennifer Powell of Columbia

2 very special nieces: Heather McQueary (Austin) of Russell Springs and Mallory Beard (Tristan) of Columbia

Bonus son: Jeremy McClister (Rachel) of Campbellsville

Home-Going Service: Saturday, January 6, 2024 at 1:00 P.M. at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home with Pastor Gerald Reliford officiating

Burial: Columbia Cemetery

Visitation: After 10:00 A.M. Saturday
