Barbara Jean McGaha, 95, of Columbia, KY passed away Thursday, December 28, 2023 at Grandview Nursing Home in Campbellsville, KY. She was born on January 19, 1928 in Kokomo, IN to the late Edgar and Stella Warner Bryant.

She was also preceded in death by her husband, Schuyler McGaha; three sisters: Norma Bauer, Dorothy Roberts, and Wanda Burton; and a brother, Huey Bryant.

Mrs. McGaha was a member of the New Hope Separate Baptist Church and enjoyed cooking, reading, sewing, gardening, and spending time with her family and friends.

3 children: Vernie McGaha (Connie) of Russell Springs, KY, Darryl McGaha of Columbia, KY, and Denise Glanzer of Campbellsville, KY

4 grandchildren: Brian McGaha (Jeannie), Susan Taylor, Jennifer Houk (John), and Brandon Glanzer (Alyssa)

6 great-grandchildren: Luke Popplewell, Braxton Glanzer, Skyler Houk, Taylor Houk, Bryant Glanzer, and Xander Houk

2 sisters: Joyce Anderson of Russell Springs, KY and Judy England of Columbia, KY

Funeral service: 11:00amCT on Tuesday, January 2, 2024 at New Hope Separate Baptist Church with Bro. Casey Davis and Bro Don Neat officiating

Burial: New Hope Cemetery 

Visitation: Monday, January 1, 2024 from 4:00-8:00pmCT and Tuesday morning until 8:30am at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, and at New Hope Separate Baptist Church from 9:00-11:00amCT on Tuesday
