Marie Joyce (Smith) Bennett, 86, passed peacefully away on Saturday, November 25, 2023 at her home, holding her daughter Fay’s hand.
 

Best known to those who loved her as Patsy, Granny Pat and Aunt Pat, she raised five children with her husband Donnie. She was proceeded in death by her husband six years ago (2017) and their son, Marshall (Buckie) Bennett in 2001.

She would tell everyone she went to Granny School, but in truth, she was the one teaching all around her how to do it right. These lessons she taught will live on in the ones she leaves behind.

SURVIVORS:

4 daughters: Deborah White (Doug), Fay and Kay Bennett, and Felisa Feign (Jeremy)

Daughter-in-law: Tammy Bennett

8 grandchildren & 14 great-grandchildren

Several nieces, nephews & all the tag-a-longs she affectionately “adopted” as part of the family

Burial: Friday at 2pmET at Louisville Memorial Gardens, 4400 Dixie Hwy, Louisville, KY 40216
