Jerry Thomas Compton, 68, of Columbia, KY died Friday, November 3, 2023 at the U.K. Chandler Medical Center in Lexington. He was born January 6, 1955 in Louisville, KY to the late Eddie and Betty Jo Loy Compton.

Jerry was a member of Columbia Christian Church, most recently worked in Medical Billing and enjoyed being with and cooking for his family and friends.

3 sons: Jerry Wayne Compton and Michael Wesley Compton both of Columbia and Matthew Thomas Compton (Jerrica) of Providence, Rhode Island

1 daughter: Kelli Michelle Parson (Patrick) of Bowling Green

2 brothers: Tony Joe Compton (Pam) and Stephen Compton (Pam) both of Columbia

6 sisters: Nancy Burton (Jeff), Betty Sue Hancock (Charlie), Rhonda Cox (Garry), Marsha Napier (Jim), Tammy Sexton (Bill) and Kathy Greer (Keith) all of Columbia

5 grandchildren: Alesha Dicken (Josh), Wesley Compton (Brea), Callie Jo Compton, Will Parson, and Krysten Parson

6 great-grandchildren

His mother-in-law: Lulabell Goode of Columbia

Sister-in-law: Sandy Abernathy (Tim) of Russell Springs

Funeral Service: Monday, November 6, 2023 at 11:00 A.M. at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home with Bro. Jon Davis and Bro. Adam Shepard officiating

Burial: Haven Hill Cemetery

Visitation: After 4:00 P.M. Sunday

In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate a donation to the Activities and Fellowship Team at Columbia Christian Church, which can be left at the funeral home.
