Sue Jones, 77, Russell Springs, KY

 

Sue Jones, 77, of Russell Springs, KY passed away Sunday, October 15, 2023 at Fair Oaks Health and Rehabilitation in Jamestown, KY. She was born February 27, 1946 in Adair County, a daughter of the late Stanley and Nola Wolford Goodin.

 

Sue was a hairdresser for over50 years. She was owner of Sue’s Beauty Shop, then later P & S Designs, with her daughter, Pam. She enjoyed camping and being out on the lake, but most of all, spending time with her two granddaughters. It can be said that Sue was someone who just “enjoyed life.” She was a faithful member of Jamestown Christian Church.

 

SURVIVORS:

1 son: Darren (JoBeth) Jones of Russell Springs

1 brother: Edwin (Bernice) Goodin of Columbia

2 sisters: Beulah Jones of Russell Springs and Kay Burton of Columbia

2 grandchildren: Meleah (Ben) Walters and Elizabeth (Jordan) Helm, both of Russell Springs

1 niece: Ann Williamson of Lexington

1 nephew: Donnie (Stephanie) Jones of Russell Springs

1 great-niece: Morgan Jones

2 great-nephews: Matthew (Emily) Williamson and Ben Jones

 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Jones; a daughter Pamela Jo Coffey; a brother, Hubert Gooden; and a brother-in-law, Bennie Jones.

 

Funeral Service: Thursday, October 19, 2023 at 11:00amCT at Jamestown Christian Church with Bro. Bucky Walters officiating

 

Burial: Wolford Cemetery

 

Visitation: Wednesday, October 18, 2023 from 4:30pm-8:00pmCT and Thursday after 9:00amCT at Jamestown Christian Church

 

Pallbearers: Ben Walters, Jordan Helm, Ben Jones, Matthew Williamson, Craig Leach, and Brian Wilson

 

In lieu of flowers or gifts, the family requests donations in memory of Sue be made to the Jamestown Christian Church Building Fund, P.O. Box 97, Jamestown, KY 42629.
