Antony Dwayne “Tony” Martens, 81, of Columbia, KY died Sunday, April 16, 2023 at Baptist Health Hardin in Elizabethtown. He was born December 7, 1941 in Peoria, Illinois, a son of the late William and Elsie Bisco Martens.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a son, William Martens and a brother, Jim Martens. 

Tony attended New Life for the Nations, was a retired carpenter and a former Prison Chaplain.

His wife of 62 years: Helen Lorene Martens of Columbia

1 son: Charles Martens of Tompkinsville

1 brother: Everett Cook II, of Ohio

1 sister: Jessie Cook Hood of Columbia

Graveside Service: Thursday, April 20, 2023 at 1:00 P.M. at the Columbia Cemetery with Rev. Gerald Reliford officiating and burial to follow.

There will be no visitation.

Grissom-Martin Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
