Lloyd Eugene “Gene” Curtis, Sr., 77, of Columbia, KY died Monday, January 23, 2023 at his home. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lillian Mae “Lynn” Curtis on Thursday, January 19, 2023.

Gene formerly worked for Jennings County, Indiana Water Company and Cox Interior. He was a U.S. Army Veteran. Gene was also an accomplished musician and an excellent handyman.

3 children: Mary Kaye Graham of Columbia, Lloyd Eugene Curtis, Jr. and Lori Ann Back both of North Vernon, Indiana

2 brothers–in-law: Jim A. Patton and Willie Patton both of Columbia

2 sisters-in-law: Rosemary Harmon and Starr Tweedy both of Columbia

8 grandchildren: Amy Lynn Nichols, Mary Ellen Howard, Tyler, Britney, Baylee, Chrissy, Dalton and Wesley Curtis, & Justin Back

8 great-grandchildren & 3 great-great grandchildren

Burial: Columbia Cemetery

Visitation: After 5:00 P.M. Thursday
