Treva Joyce Downey Ballou, 84, of Columbia, KY passed away Sunday, January 15, 2023 at Summit Manor Nursing Home. She was born on March 11, 1938 in Milltown, KY to the late Owen and Edna Thomas Keltner.
 

She was preceded in death by her husbands: Kenneth “Buck” Downey and Albert Chandler “Happy” Ballou.

Treva formerly attended the Bethany Baptist Church and was a retired Beautician after working for 55 years in the Adair County area. She was the first female Magistrate in Adair County serving District 5. While serving, she was instrumental in getting gas lines and cable TV from Columbia to the Green County line and the construction of the Adair Annex and the Adair County Regional Jail.

3 step-grandchildren: Danny Joe Powell and Marshall Allen Powell (Mary) both of Somerset, KY and Telenia Dobbs (Tracy) of Morgantown, KY
