Eugene Melson, 90, of Columbia, KY died Thursday, October 6, 2022 at 12:40 A.M. at Ephraim McDowell Hospital in Danville. He was born March 7, 1932 in Cundiff, KY to the late James Otha and Gertrude Helm Melson. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Douglas Melson.

Eugene served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War, was a member of Hilltop Trinity Full Gospel Tabernacle in Casey County, in the lawn care business and a farmer

His wife: Ruth Keith Melson of Columbia

1 daughter: Cindy Melson Greer of Tucson, Arizona

1 daughter-in-law: Brenda Melson of Liberty

1 sister: Cecil George of Columbia

2 grandchildren: Elizabeth Stocking and Jasmine Greer

1 great-grandchild: Briella Stocking

Funeral Service: Thursday, October 13, 2022 at 10:00 A.M. at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home with Bro. Donald Clark officiating

Burial: Hilltop Cemetery in Casey County with full military honors presented by the Casey County Veterans Honor Guard

Visitation: After 5:00 P.M. Wednesday

Grissom-Martin Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
