Irene L. Newby, 71, of the Crocus community of Adair County, KY died Wednesday, August 24, 2022 at the Jean Waddle Care Center in Somerset. She was born July 8, 1951 to the late Samuel and Nina Iris Hunter Newby. 

 In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Maxine Newby; a brother, Frank Newby; and a niece, Morasha Newby.

SURVIVORS: 

2 brothers: Marvin Newby (Maryetta) of Greensburg and Sam Newby, Jr., of Russell Springs

3 sisters: Patricia Newby of Columbia, Jeanna Newby Handley of Campbellsville, and Angela Newby Riley (Billy) of Columbia

Funeral service: Tuesday, August 30, 2022 at 1:00 P.M. at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home with Rev. Albert Taylor officiating

Burial: Holt Cemetery in Russell County

Visitation: After 11:00 A.M. Tuesday
