Joseph Edgar “Joe” Veatch, 76, of Russell Springs, KY died Friday, April 1, 2022 at the Russell County Hospital in Russell Springs, KY.  He was born in Taylor County, KY on September 25, 1945 to the late Frank Edgar and Bertha Nelson Veatch. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wives: Alice Mae Foster Veatch and Lizzie Harmon Veatch and a brother, Andy Veatch.

Joe was a member of the Shiloh Cumberland Presbyterian Church and attended the Bethel United Baptist Church. He enjoyed working on cars and tractors and spending time with his family and friends.

2 children: Matthew Lee Veatch (Linda) and Debbie Louise Veatch Bunch (David) of Russell Springs, KY

5 step-children: Brenda Ballenger (Gary), Lisa Scruggs, Jeff Scruggs and Nathan Scruggs all of Columbia, KY and Selby Shirley of Greensburg

22 grandchildren & 29 great-grandchildren

Burial: Freedom Cemetery

Visitation: Sunday from 4:00-8:00pmCT and on Monday morning until time for the service at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home
