Joy Lou Cardwell, 69, of Middlesboro, KY (formerly of Russell Springs, KY) died Thursday, January 13, 2022. She was born October 2, 1952, the daughter of the late Garfield and Alma Gosser of Russell County, KY.

She was a retired business teacher and FBLA sponsor from Russell County High School.

Her husband: Bill Cardwell of Middlesboro, KY

1 son: William Henry Cardwell (Leah) of Russell Springs, KY

1 daughter:  A.T. Young (David) of Middlesboro, KY

1 brother: Larry Gosser (Rita)

2 sisters: Jane Johnson and Linda McFarland (Kenny), both of Russell Springs, KY
 

Memorial Service: Tuesday, January 18, 2022 at 5:00pmET with Dr. William Boyd Bingham officiating

Visitation: Tuesday from 3:00pm-5:00pmET at Binghamtown Baptist Church

LOCAL SERVICE: The family will receive friends in Russell Springs, KY on Saturday, January 22, 2022 at the Russell Springs United Methodist Church from 10:00am-11:00amCT. A Memorial Service will follow at 11:00amCT.

The family requests that everyone wear masks.

The family request that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made in Joy’s honor to the Gateway Christian School, 1 Gateway Drive, Middlesboro, KY 40965.
