Valeria Godby, 96, of Russell Springs, KY passed away on Sunday, November 21, 2021, at Russell County Hospital. Born on April 5, 1925 in the Pine Top Community of Russell County, she was a daughter of the late Willard “Perk” and Vida Dause Owens.  

Valeria was a homemaker and a pastor’s wife for 42 years. She was a member of Good Tidings Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, Valeria was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Hoyt Godby, who passed away May 7, 1994; six brothers; and one sister.

SURVIVORS:

2 sons: Arlin (Gay) Godby and Michael (Sharon) Godby, both of Russell Springs

1 daughter: Ann (Ronald) Rexroat of Russell Springs

13 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; 12 great-great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-great-grandchild

Funeral Service: Friday, November 26, 2021 at  11:00amCT at Bernard Funeral Home with Bro. Joe Sullivan and Bro. Myles Wilson officiating

Burial: Lakeside Memorial Gardens

Visitation: After 9:00amCT on Friday

Pallbearers: Brian Godby, David Godby, Ronnie Rexroat, Chris Rexroat, Stephen Godby, and Trevor VanMeter
