GLEN ALLEN OAKS, 86, RUSSELL SPRINGS, KY

 

Glen Allen Oaks, 86, of Russell Springs, KY, passed away Sunday, October 31st, at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital, Somerset, KY. He was born in Jamestown, KY on July 19, 1935, a son of the late Lillie (Hayes) and Claude Oaks.
 
Glen was a member of Mt Pleasant United Methodist Church, served in the U.S. Marines, and was a carpenter for many years.
 
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his grandparents: Walter (Trigger) and Maude Oaks; 2 brothers: Jack Oaks and Jerry Mack Oaks and a sister, Darlene Ash.

Wife: Ida (Scholl) Oaks of Russell Springs, KY 
2 daughters: Andra (Bobby) Brown and Dana Oaks, both of Russell Springs, KY
2 sons: Pat (Jodi) Oaks and Phil (Rose) Oaks, both of Russell Springs, KY
1 sister: Ruth Stephens of Russell Springs, KY
5 grandchildren: Sarah(Trent) Stapp, Brad(Lyndsey) Brown, Brian(Carey) Brown, Seth(Heidi) Oaks and Whitney Oaks
11 great-grandchildren: Cassidy & Carter Stapp, Brodey, Adelynn & Calley Brown, Caleb & Asher Brown, Jake, Molly, & Briar Oaks, Titus Popplewell
 
Funeral Service: Thursday, November 4,  2021 at 11:00amCT at H.E. Pruitt Memory Chapel in Jamestown, KY with Bro. Tony Stephens officiating
 
Visitation: After 5:00pmCT on Wednesday at H.E. Pruitt Memory Chapel
 
Interment: Jamestown Cemetery with full Military Honors by the Russell County Honor Squad
