PAULINE CHEATHAM, 99, ADAIR COUNTY, KY


Pauline Cheatham, 99, of the Garlin Community of Adair County, KY died Saturday, July 31, 2021 at the Casey County Hospital in Liberty, KY.  She was born on January 19, 1922 to the late J. W. “Willie” and Mamie Wilcoxson Stephens. 
 

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Price Cheatham on July 5, 2010; two granddaughters: Jill & Amanda Blair on July 3, 1985; and 5 siblings: Milton, Johnny, C.C. and Billy Stephens and Ruth Grant. 

 

Mrs. Cheatham was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church. She was an Avon Sale Representative, worked at Cheatham and Wethington Ashland Oil Distributor, a former greeter at Walmart and a homemaker. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and enjoyed spending time with all of her family.


SURVIVORS:

1 son: Steve Cheatham & wife Joyce

5 daughter: Brenda McQueary & husband Louis, Pat Blair & husband Larry, Pam Burton & husband Billy, Sherry Cheatham, and Marty Wooldridge & husband John, all of Columbia, KY

12 grandchildren Jamie Murrell, Julie Irvin, Robin Loy, Bryan Cheatham, Nikki Loy, Brea Compton, Chad Burton, Josh Kemp, Nick Kemp, Dr. Adam Wooldridge, Ethan Wooldridge & Jordan Burton

30 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren (& one expected in March) Several nieces, nephews, friends & other relatives

 

Funeral Service: Tuesday, August 3, 2021 at 11:00amCT at  Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home with Rev. William R. Davenport officiating

 

Burial: Haven Hill Cemetery

 

Visitation: Monday, August 2, 2021 from 3:00-8:00pmCT and on Tuesday morning until time for the service 

 

Pallbearers: Bryan Cheatham, Chad Burton, Josh Kemp, Nick Kemp, Dr. Adam Wooldridge, Ethan Wooldridge, Caleb Irvin and Ty Cheatham.

 

In lieu of flowers, donation may be made to the Green River Animal Shelter or to JOY Ministries and can be left at the funeral home.  
 

The family request that all attendees for the visitation and funeral service wear a mask or face covering.
