Lawrence “Poppy” B. Robertson, 96, passed away peacefully at the home of his grandchildren, Joe and Scarlett Cmiel, in Cloverdale, IN, on May 30, 2021. He was born on September 12, 1924 to the late Melvin and Mary Belle (Hill) Robertson
Poppy was preceded in death by his loving wife of 61 years, Louella (Ashbrook) Robertson, and his only child, Linda Lou Moore. He was one of 8 children and was the last surviving sibling, having been preceded in death by his brothers: Luther, Lester, Lucian, and Larry; and sisters, Lurie, Lorene (Nelson) and Lora Pearl (Hadley).
Poppy loved gardening, making people smile, and everything “Kentucky.” For every day of the more than seven years he was in Indiana with Joe and Scarlett, he wished he was back home in his beloved Russell Springs, KY.
SURVIVORS:
3 grandchildren: Scarlett (Joe) Cmiel, Mitchell (Barbara) Reynolds, and Randon (Kim) Reynolds
5 great-grandchildren: Cody (Jessica), Randi Lynn, Dakota, Alexandra, and Conner
A host of nieces & nephews who he greatly enjoyed spending time with throughout his life
