Forest C. Gibson, 92, of Oaklawn, IL passed away on October 31, 2020. Forest was born to Claude and Hannah Gibson on September 23, 1928. 

Forest retired from running his own Barber Shop for 30 years. He spent half his time in Ft. Myers Beach, FL and the rest in Illinois. Forest loved his family and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 2 wives: Mayrene Sexton Gibson and Sylvia Kegney Gibson; 2 sons: Kenneth E. Gibson and John F. Gibson (Theresa); 2 sisters: Agnes (Gilliam) Lacy, Dorothy (Rondal) Clemmons; and 4 brothers: Wilbur (Lou Willie) Gibson, Albert (Mabel) Gibson, Robert (Virginia) Gibson and Charles (Shirley) Gibson. 

SURVIVORS:

1 daughter: Dr. Claudette (Jeffrey Breuer)

5 grandchildren: Tina, Kimberly, Kenneth F., Sherri and Jack J.

10 great-grandchildren: Krystina, Joseph, Haylee, Lauren, Dominic, Robert, Sophia, Gabriella, Kennth Jr and Anastasia

On Friday March 19, 2021 Kenneth E Gibson “JD”, 66, of Venice, FL passed away. He was born on September 17, 1954 to Forest and Mayrene Gibson. 

Kenneth retired to Venice, FL in 2014 with his children and grandchildren. He worked as an auto body repair man and tile setter until he retired. Friend to many, loved by many.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, John F Gibson.

2 daughters & 1 son: Tina (Tim) Wolf, Kimberly (Adam) Levy, and Kenneth F Gibson

10 grandchildren: Krystina, Joseph, Haylee, Lauren, Dominic, Robert, Sophia, Gabriella, Kenneth Jr and Anastasia

1 sister: Claudette (Jeffrey) Gibson

1 nephew: Jack

Both Forest and Kenneth chose cremation and a joint memorial graveside service will be 1:00pmCT on Thursday, May 27, 2021 at the Fudge Cemetery.
