Genice Stephens Riggins, 83, of Russell Springs, KY passed away on Friday, January 1, 2021 at her home. Born on March 4, 1937 in Russell County, KY she was a daughter of the late Charlie and Ada Susie Aaron Stephens. 

Genice was a retired cook for the Russell County Board of Education. She enjoyed being outside, gardening, and working in her flowers.

In addition to her parents, Genice was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Riggins, who passed away on August 26, 2018; one brother: Pete Stephens; and 5 sisters: Betty Flannigan, Diddie George, Mallie Blankenship, Coleen Morgan, and Delma McQueary.

1 daughter: Tammy (Donnie) Goble of Prestonsburg, KY

1 granddaughter: Amy Melson of Russell Springs, KY

2 grandchildren: Ryan Melson and Alexis Melson

1 sister: Jean Lowry of Hamilton, Ohio

Funeral Service: 1:00 P.M. Monday, January 4, 2021 at Bernard Funeral Home with Gary McQueary officiating

Burial: Bernard Cemetery

Visitation: 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. Sunday, January 3, 2021 at Bernard Funeral Home
