Josephine Vaughn, 87, formerly of Columbia, KY died Sunday, December 6, 2020 at Russell County Hospital in Russell Springs. She was born March 31, 1933 in Adair County, KY to the late Joseph Alexander and Lela Giles Powell.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, J.L. “Sonny” Vaughn, Jr.; a daughter, Lisa Turner Brown; 3 brothers & 3 sisters.

She was a member of Columbia Baptist Church and retired from Fruit of the Loom.

2 daughters: Judy & husband Louis Roy, Vicki & husband Scott Wilson, both of Russell Springs, KY

Son-in-law: Mike Brown of Kingwood, Texas

Step-son: Johnny Vaughn of Columbia, KY

6 grandchildren: Beth Rash of Tennessee, Neil Rooks of Columbia, Laura Flatt of Columbia, Allison Coffey of Tennessee, Bryce & Josh Brown both of Texas

8 great-grandchildren

In accordance with the Governor’s Mandate, all services will be private with burial in Haven Hill Cemetery
