Donald Coomer, 84, of Columbia, KY died Monday, November 9, 2020 at his residence. Born in Argo, IL he was the son of the late Vasco and Pearl Gibson Coomer.
Mr. Coomer was of the Methodist faith and a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He enjoyed golf and spending time with his family especially his grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 5 siblings: Maurice, Dale and Elwood Coomer, Opal Coffey and Louise Coomer Allen.

1 daughter: Debra Coomer of Lexington, KY
1 son: Douglas Coomer of San Rafael, CA
3 grandchildren: Logan Coomer (Kayla), Kimberly Rapier and Mackenzie Minton (Brandon)
2 great-grandchildren: Branson & Bryson Minton
6 siblings: Earl and Ronald Coomer, Cleda Coleman, Phyllis Akin, Betty Melson and Karren Lissak

Funeral Service: 10:30amCT on Thursday, November 12, 2020 at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home with Rev. Bill Davenport officiating
Burial: Haven Hill Cemetery with full military honors provided by VFW Post 6097
Visitation: After after 8:30am on Thursday
Pallbearers: Clyde Mizell, Ricky Tabor, Brandon Minton, Tony Grant, Richie Melson and Howard Loy
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hosparus Health Green River at P.O. Box 4134, Campbellsville, KY 42719-9700 or can be left at the funeral home.
