Hazel Marie Ellis, 92, of Columbia, KY died Saturday, August 22, 2020 at the Grandview Nursing Home in Campbellsville, KY. She was the daughter of the late Earl & Martha Warren Hunt and the wife of the late Walker Lee Ellis.

Mrs. Ellis was a Member of Trinity United Methodist Church and retired from Fruit of the Loom.  She enjoyed entertaining her family and friends by cooking for them.  She also enjoyed working puzzles and was a member of the Democratic Women’s Group.

SURVIVORS:

2 children: Daniel W. Ellis (Christoph) of Louisville, KY; Sheila Ellis Columbia, KY

1 granddaughter: Paula Garrison (James), Columbia, KY

2 great-grandchildren: Kayla Jones (Trent) of Rochester, Minnesota; Clint Garrison of Columbia, KY

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by five siblings Cleo Steele, Leonard Hunt, Russell Hunt, Virgil Hunt & Kenneth Hunt.

Funeral Service: 1:00pmCT Thursday, August 27, 2020 at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home with Rev. Bill Davenport and Rev. Steve Pescosolido officiating 

Burial: Haven Hill Cemetery

Visitation: Thursday after 10:00amCT at the funeral home
