Sara Jean Lawrence Marshall, 93, of Columbia, KY died Wednesday, January 22, 2020 at Summit Manor Nursing Home. Born in Michigan, she was the daughter of the late George & Mary Frances Stephens Lawrence and wife of the late James Clyde "J.C." Marshall.

Mrs. Marshall was a member of the Columbia United Methodist Church and former Librarian at John Adair Middle School. She loved playing bridge and golf.

In addition to her parents and first husband, she was preceded in death by her husband’s Welby Thomas and James Burris.

2 sons: Jim Marshall (Mary Lee) of Russell Springs, KY; Larry Marshall (Rachel) of Elizabethtown, KY

3 grandchildren: Sheri Anderson (Rick) of Russell Springs, Bill Marshall (Bonnie) of White House, TN and Stephen Marshall (Jan) of Lexington, KY

8 great grandchildren

Funeral Service: Sunday, January 26, 2020 at 2:00pmCT at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home with Rev. Rob Hoffman and Rev. Rachel Marshall officiating

Burial: Haven Hill Cemetery

Visitation: Sunday after 12:00pm at the funeral home

Pallbearers will be her grandsons and great-grandsons.
