James R. Smith, 76, of Columbia, KY died Friday, November 1, 2019 at 8:17 P.M. at his home. He was born September 28, 1943 in Russell County to the late Ruel & Olza Holt Smith.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Janet Smith, and two brothers, Bobby & Mervin Smith. He was a farmer.

One Daughter – Joanne Davis of Columbia
One Brother – Alvin Smith of Somerset
Five Grandchildren – Tori & Amber Davis, Madelyne, Madison & Mallory Smith
One Great-Grandchild – Paislee Lynn
Several other relatives & friends
In accordance with James’ wishes, a private graveside service will be held for his family. There will be no visitation.
