Mary Helen (Watson) Scott, 77, of the Ashlock Community in Cumberland County, KY passed away Wednesday, May 8, 2019 at the U of L Medical Center in Louisville, KY. She was born in Clay County, TN on July 8, 1941 the daughter of Stanford & Odean (Poindexter) Watson.
Mary was of Church of Christ faith, a member of Ashlock Church of Christ, and a Business Owner.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Claude Scott; 1 daughter, Shena Scott; and 1 son, Steve Scott.
SURVIVORS: Children: Susan (Jimmy) Burchett of Marietta, Georgia, Sandra “Kick” Upchurch, Cindy (Gary) Shoopman, both of Burkesville, KY; 2 grandchildren she raised: Jasmine Singer & Jarred Scott both of Burkesville, KY; 1 brother: Glen Watson of Celina, Tennessee; 4 grandchildren; Linsey Brown (Eric Beasley), Brooke (Scott) Christie, Ryan (Krystina) Shoopman, Spencer (Alaina) Burchett; 5 great-grandchildren: Kolton Brown, Kailey Brown, Addison Lecander, Greenleigh Shoopman, and Elliott Christie
Funeral Service: Saturday, May 11, 2019 at 1:00pmCT in Memory Chapel of Norris-New Funeral Home with Bro. Sammy Dick and Bro. Willie Kerr officiating
Burial: Ashlock Cemetery in Cumberland County, KY
Visitation: After 3:00pmCT on Friday, May 10, 2019 until the funeral hour on Saturday
